Pretty Ruffled Flowers from Sweaters!

I’m a sucker for making flowers my own flowers from different kinds of fiber!

I’ve used grosgrain ribbon to make pretty roses.  Felt makes the world’s easiest flowers .  I haven’t had a chance to make these Japanese folded flowers , but I want to try when my studio is all set up again…

My ears perked up when I heard about fiber artist, Susan Wasinger’s method of using felted, recycled wool sweaters to make unique flowers.

Check out her great how-to video and try it out for yourself!

Thanks for the very clear instructions. I’ve made these flowers to decorate beanies. They are selling well at the local craft market.
