Marion Nestle writes Food Politics, an important blog for those who are interested in food issues beyond what we’re going to have for dinner tonight. It’s one of the few (very select) food blogs that I subscribe to that doesn’t contain recipes! Nestle has a recent post on her predictions for what the hot-button issues are likely to be in the coming decade.
Some top issues, she believes, will be carry-overs from the aughts: hunger, food safety, and childhood obesity. To these, she adds advertising and food industry practices, including the meat industry and agri-business. I recommend reading her whole post: What’s up with food and nutrition in 2010?
