February is kicking off with a whole lot of cold (it’s freezing here in Oregon) but also hopefully some good deals too. Following is what’s good to buy February…
Jewelry – can be a good deal after Valentine’s Day. Right before many places do have sales but some mark their goods up because they know folks will pay more for the holiday.
Valentine’s Day goodies - like any holiday, the second it’s over, goods go on deep sales. Lately it seems that goods go on deep sales even before the holidays are over, so I’d hit the stores early.
Computers – according to various retail sources, new computer models hit the market so it’s a good time to score big time deals on older models. You’re not losing much by getting an older model at this point either. Computers have come a long way in terms of battery and speed and most older models are perfectly good for home users.
Cameras - new camera models (like computers above) launch after the new year so it’s a good time to buy an older model.
Video games - don’t tell the kids, but now is a great time to stock up on video games. Video games are stocked high in December for holidays but some of course don’t sell. By January they’re on sale but by February they’re really on sale; not to mention, this is the perfect time to hit used game stores because fast folks who did get and play games for Christmas may be trading in.
Consumer Reports notes that February is a splendid time to purchase…
- Houses and condos
- Indoor furniture
- Small consumer electronics (MP3 players, digital cameras, DVD players, etc.)
Got any secret tips about goodies to buy in February?
