Do you like your brownies with frosting? I do, but my family doesn’t, oddly enough, so I don’t make it very often. There are times where the kids will ask for it when I make brownies for dessert, but that’s rare. When they do want it, I make sure I’ve got the ingredients on-hand for this super simple recipe for a yummy fudgy chocolate brownie frosting. It makes about two cups, perfect for a pan of cooled brownies!
2 squares semisweet chocolate
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
3/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
~ In a small saucepan melt butter and chocolate together over low heat.
~ Add the cornstarch and sugar and mix well.
~ Add the milk and continue to cook stirring constantly until thick like frosting.
~ Stir in vanilla.
~ Cool thoroughly before using.
