Caffeine Immunity: The Coffee Addict’s Dilemma

Addicted to coffee? You may need a new way to get your post-lunch boost, according to Neuropsychopharmacology journal. Experts say that regular coffee drinkers eventually become immune to its energizing effects. In fact, the reason that coffee-addicts feel better after getting their fix might just be because it ends the caffeine withdrawal going on in their systems, bringing them back to a normal alertness level.

This creates a quite the conundrum for major coffee drinkers. Would you be willing to go through a headache-ridden withdrawal in order to feel the effects of caffeine again?

    The only conundrum is that medical researchers are still given money to beat this dead horse. Several decades of conflicting, inconclusive studies, so just one more is going to make all the difference. Right.
