We love celebrities who give back, but we have to laugh at the irony of BOTOX’s star-supported “My Expressions of Kindness” charity campaign. BOTOX is asking anyone who’s received a treatment or is considering a treatment to log onto their website and create a profile, and then post acts of kindness under their name. For each act of kindness completed, a $25 donation goes to the user’s charity of choice: Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation, Dress For Success, or Children’s Action Network. Plus, the campaign has star power, with Australian actress Didiayer Snyder (pictured) leading the campaign, plus Vanessa Williams, Virginia Madsen, Vicki Iovine, and Nadia Comaneci are all on board.
We’re very glad that the company is putting some of its profits to good use, and that wealthy women everywhere can give back while they pay to keep their wrinkles at bay. But did the drug known to freeze women’s faces into emotionless, expressionless oblivion have to choose “My Expressions of Kindness” as its campaign name? It’s hard to resist making a gentle jab. Insert needle joke here.
