After a short week, the weekend came as a pleasant surprise to us here at Blisstree. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have a ton of things we want to fit in over the next few days:
Have some chocolate.
Even if it’s just a little square, we’ll be having a bite of chocolate this weekend. It was its birthday, we have to. It would be rude not to.
We’re ready to head out into the great outdoors and rough it for a night or two. But only with our eco-friendly camping supplies, of course.
Read some foodie lit.
We love reading about food almost as much as we love eating it (okay, maybe not that much). We might even read some good advice about how to eat well without gaining weight.
Have a snack.
Sometimes you just feel like snacking. We’ll be grabbing some carrot sticks and pitas, and trying our hand at this vegan Pumpkin Seed Refried Beans dip.
Ask a friend for her book recommendations.
We’re pretty sure we’ll gobble up our foodie lit choice pretty quickly, so we’ll need something for when it’s over. Also, sometimes your friends just have the best book suggestions.
Get in a good workout.
We have to try to be somewhat productive this weekend, and our booty could really use a good kicking.
Have several nice, cold, refreshing glasses of water.
We might feel like heading to the drive-thru for a fruity slushie to beat the heat, but we’d be doing our bodies more harm than good.
Wear a short skirt.
No better time than the summer to flaunt your stems. And we won’t even worry that our vaginas smell too weird to wear short skirts. Because they don’t. Hear that, feminine hygiene industry?
Head to an old-school soda fountain.
Just because we’re going to a soda fountain doesn’t mean we’ll be drinking a Coke. We’ll get some good, old fashioned ice cream instead of the much-beloved, sometimes hated, all-American beverage (probably).
Eat a popsicle.
Sometimes it’s fun to have one of your favorite childhood treats. Just please — don’t make us eat the blood popsicles.
