It’s summer, but school is cool. And our Daily Health Quiz will test your know-how. Answer our question, below, and check back tomorrow for the answer and your next pop quiz.
Today’s Question: Do you ever feel like you spend hours at the gym with no results? Either you’re eating jelly donuts for dinner every night, or something about your technique is rendering your workouts ineffective. Do you know which common problems could be making your exercise routine null and void? (Choose all that apply.)
Answer to Yesterday’s Question: If you lie awake at night, thinking about the deep, unanswerable questions of the universe (or how to french braid your own hair), you might need a little help falling asleep. Before you reach for the Nyquil, try having a little snack. Which type of foods help you fall asleep: foods that are high in fat or heavy in carbohydrates? This question split you guys right in half, but the answer is…carbs. Foods that are rich in carbohydrates increase the level of tryptophan in your blood, which makes you feel sleepy. So break out the toast and cheese and crackers — just don’t fall asleep with the cheese in your bed. Cheesy hair is pretty hard to work with in the morning.
