We’re pretty into yoga. But activities that mix yoga and other athletic endeavors intimidate us big time; not least, doing yoga on a paddleboard. Apparently there are enough people braver than us, though, because paddle board yoga is taught at various activity centers and boathouses, including Schoolhouse Pond in Chatham, Massachusetts.
Most people who’ve tried the class have really enjoyed it — even beginners. It does seem like a fun summer way to work out. And, as a class instructor points out, if you think you’re going to lose your balance, just lie down on the board and relax. Lying on a surf board in the ocean sounds pretty good to us right now.
