An interactive, life-sized video game has been developed by the Univerisity of Florida to help pre-teen girls practice warding off sexual advances made by peers. The game had a budget of $434,000, which could have funded several sex-ed (or abstinence) programs in middle schools, rather than a game that won’t be widely available.
Also, I don’t know about you, but I would have died of embarrassment if I had had to play a “Say No to Sex” game when I was eleven. The sheer trauma alone would be enough to make me block it from memory (making the whole thing pretty counterproductive). Check out the game here.
