Christina Applegate has founded a charity to help women fight cancer. Right Action for Women will give financial aid to high-risk women who can’t afford expensive MRI tests. Applegate, a cancer survivor, hopes that these MRIs will help detect cancer in its earliest stages. Applegate’s own breast cancer was caught by an early MRI scan, which is likely one of the reasons she beat the disease. Christina also hopes to educate women about what it means to be “high risk,” and inform them of things they can do or food they can eat to help prevent breast cancer.
