Carrots and Nacho Cheese Doritos are alike in only one way — they’re both orange. But soon they’ll have their packaging in common as well. Ad agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky have joined forces with over 40 carrot growers to rebrand baby carrots in order to try to compete with the junk food industry. Baby carrots packaging will be more akin to bags of chips, complete with cartoon characters.
We’re just wondering if this marketing ploy will actually get kids to ask their parents for carrots instead of chips in their lunches. Kids can’t be that dumb — right?
