Erin McKenna’s Babycakes bakery, known for making delicious gluten-free, vegan treats, was a haven for those on the fringes of the foodie community when it first opened in New York City in 2005. But now that they’re opening their third location at Disney World in a space formerly occupied by McDonald’s, we’re pretty sure her healthy treats are going mainstream.
The installation of Babycakes in Downtown Disney’s Marketplace is part of a push to bring healthier food options to the family-friendly vacation spot. Personally, we like to make her delicious cookies and brownies at home, thanks to Babycakes Cookbook. But with all those kids and parents getting exposed to healthier, dairy-free treats that actually taste good, we think the vegans finally have a shot at conquering the world.
