Food blogs are atwitter with the news that Gwyneth Paltrow’s first cookbook, My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family and Togetherness is available for pre-order on Amazon.com. Her book, a collection of weeknight, family recipes, won’t be released until April 2011, but some bloggers have gotten their hands on excerpts that suggests her concoctions follow her own bipolar food personality: She’s at once a sugar-phobic baker and a down-to-earth, Campbell’s soup-loving kinda gal:
“More often than not when I prepare desserts, I am thinking about keeping the sugar intake low, as well as limiting other ingredients that don’t do us any favors.”
“When I was growing up, the tomato soup I had was Campbell’s, and how I love it to this day.”
“This recipe really utilizes the sweetness of the fruit, cutting down on added sugar, always a good thing.”
“I am constantly thinking about ways to give my children something filled with as much nutritional value as possible.”
We wonder if she realizes that Campbell’s adds a hefty dose of processed, scary high-fructose corn syrup to its classic tomato soup?
