Last weekend, while you were not pulling a gimmicky stunt like getting married while running a marathon, David Upton and Molly Johnston were — during last Saturday’s Chevron Houston Marathon. This exercise enthusiast couple, who’ve been dating for five years, paused briefly at mile 16 of 26.2 in order to exhange vows in front of a minister and a waterfall. The bride wore white (running clothes) and a short veil under her baseball cap, while the groom wore a running outfit made to look like a tux. And though we’re making fun of the ceremonial antics of hardcore runners David and Molly, we admire their spirit, determination, shared interests, and thrift. We just hope they had a huge post-marathon reception party that involved lots of champagne, but no competitive sporting events. Watch their high-energy wedding, and let us know what you think of stunt wedding ceremonies in our comments section, below.
