Like most outdoor physical activities, my biking habit’s been in hibernation for about the past six months — sad, but true. The good weather is enough to get me excited to grease up my chain and take it outside, but sometimes (for example, when it’s raining, or when my hair would clearly benefit more from a subway ride than a sweaty visit with my bike helmet) I need some extra motivation. This is when I turn to motivational retail: Sometimes in life, it’s the little (mostly unnecessary) things that give me that extra push I need to roll off the couch and move.
Here are six things I’d like to think I need (but know I don’t) to make me get back on my bike:
