Former Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels left her role on the hit show to become a mom, and apparently, she’s almost there. Now that her adoption paperwork is through, she’s just waiting for news about her match:
My dossier, which is your paperwork portfolio, is in to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. So the paperwork is done, and now it’s just a waiting game…It could be six months, twelve months; it could be two years. Or, it could be tomorrow! They call you and they say, ‘Oh, we have your referral,’ which is essentially the child they match you up with, and you go overseas and you get him or her.
The process sounds excruciating (though far less physically painful than giving birth), but it doesn’t seem to be swaying her desire to adopt. She recently responded to a Twitter follower that this isn’t the only baby she plans to adopt:
Michaels also seems to have plenty of distractions in the meantime. Even though she’s no longer filming Biggest Loser, she has plenty of endorsements, her regular podcasts, plus a new role on The Doctors and Dr. Phil.
