Flex your right brain this summer by participating in 30 Days of Creativity, an initiative encouraging people to create something (anything) every day for the 30 days of June (starting today!).
Create what? That’s up to you.
I’ve been creating a summer music mix today, so I guess I’m inadvertently playing along. I’ll be honest: 30 days of creative projects sounds plain exhausting, but anything that encourages people to create (and share) new things is pretty cool (and no one’s policing how many days you participate!). As adults, we generally don’t do random creative things, especially if we’re not “good” at them, and maybe that’s a shame. Even if you’re a terrible artist, painting can be fun. Even if you’re no Emily Dickinson, writing that love (or hate) poem just might be cathartic.
The group created this calendar to help you find inspiration. Here are a few more ideas I love:
- Make a mason jar terrarium
- Draw what you see outside your window
- Reflect on ‘My So-Called Life’ bad girl Rayanne Graff
