We’ve all agreed that 30 is the new 20, 40 is the new 30, and none of us really care about age, but let’s face it: Things change as we get older. Preferences, boobs, wardrobes, wrinkles, and even the way we go on vacation all changes with every decade (just like in the magazines!). But the good news is: It’s not all bad. We had a lot of fun in hostels, but we’re kind of glad that we’re not sleeping next to strangers in a glorified summer camp anymore (to say nothing of sleeping in our childhood bedroom).
There aren’t any hard and fast rules of aging, but there are certainly some trends, and our vacations have definitely changed over the years. Here’s what the aging curve looks like on vacation (I’ll spare you the analogy of a vintage wine, but for the most part, it’s all bright lights ahead):
