Spanish Chef Jordi Roca Makes Food-Perfume and Perfume-Food

Spanish chef Jordi Roca is a big believer in the relationship between taste and scent. For years, he has been creating desserts inspired by famous perfumes, including Calvin Klein’s Eternity and Lancome’s Miracle. People have come from all over the world to try the desserts at El Cellar de Can Roca, Roca’s restaurant in the Spanish town of Girona. It has been named one of the top 50 restaurants in the world and boasts of “Emotional Cuisine” and “Landscapes of Memory” on its website.

Now, the famed pastry chef is switching gears: he’s creating a perfume based on one of his desserts.

Introducing Núvol de Llimona, the new perfume Roca worked on. It contains notes of lemon, cream, and brown butter. It’s for sale on El Celler de Can Roca’s website for €50 per bottle. Though I haven’t smelled it for myself, the description sounds delicious. In fact, I’m kind of hungry now…
