Kate Walsh Tells Fellow Actresses ‘Stop F*cking Up Your Faces’

In addition to posing nude for the March cover of Shape magazine, Kate Walsh is continuing to expose her ideals of real beauty, and we have to say, we love it! While twitterland was abuzz last night with tweets about Jennifer Lopez‘s nipple, Angelina Jolie‘s right leg, who was wearing what, and who look hot or not, Walsh was busy tweeting her own thoughts about how her fellow actresses should look. It’s a bit harsh, but she makes an excellent point.

Just in time for last night’s Oscar’s and our society’s unending obsession with looks, the Private Practice star tweeted this message:

…dear Hollywood actresses, stop fucking up your faces, it’s looking the the bar scene in Star Wars.

And it appears that some of her fans agreed:

@DameDiva1 tweeted back:

This tweet cld not be more #Epic

@IrishNBroadway wrote:

Yeah… some people need to stop with the botox..

@CarolinaJoyM tweeted:

thank you, as a beautiful actress.

It seems like the 44-year-old actress is on a mission to redefine beauty and hold Hollywood accountable for the messages they are sending with the use of cosmetic surgery. Walsh also took the plunge this month by posing nude for Shape as a way to show that she loves her body and her face just the way it is. The actress told Shape:

I was terrified, but I really wanted to do a naked cover—especially with SHAPE, because the magazine is about loving yourself inside and out.

She went on to say:

We live in a strange time when getting plastic surgery is as common as dyeing your hair. But in my profession, I need a malleable face.

What a powerful message to put out there. Wouldn’t it be great if more Hollywood actresses voiced similar opinions?

@katewalsh, we think you–and all women–are beautiful just the way you are. Thank you for reminding us of that!
