Courtney Stodden‘s “sexy veggie” videos may not have convinced Anderson Cooper to go vegetarian…or provided good evidence that going vegetarian will help you “have way better sex.” But even if her tactics are somewhat misguided, we think she has the right idea: Eating more vegetables IS sexy, and that’s what we want you to do every Meatless Monday. If phallic varieties help you get into the mood for vegetarian food; well, we’re just glad you’re trying to eat more of the good stuff.
In reality, there’s no evidence that vegetarians or vegans enjoy stronger libidos or a better sex life by virtue of eating less meat. PETA has argued before that, on average, vegetarians are thinner, in better shape, and less likely to suffer heart disease—all things that could theoretically correlate with good sex, but…there are some serious flaws with that logic (not least of which is the idea that only thin people have good sex).
But in the spirit of the teen bride, we rounded up some sexy spring veggie recipes, because regardless of what they do for your sex life, eating fresh, home-cooked food that comes straight from the source is a pretty sexy way to spend Mondays, don’t you think?
