Photographer Jason Lee, a.k.a. “Creative Dad” according to the recent flurry of headlines about him, is in the spotlight for his, well, creative photos of his daughters, Kristin and Kayla. The photos are amazing, but the part of the story that really makes me love this guy is that the project all started as a way for his mother, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, to see his daughters when she was too sick for physical contact.
When his mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2006, Lee’s daughters were constantly sick with coughs and colds, so he sought a “germ-free” way for her to see them. What resulted was a series of incredibly cute, awesomely fun photos that put pretty much everyone’s family photos to shame. He says many of the photos were the girls’ ideas; we hope they also inherited his thoughtfulness.
