I used to scoff at the idea of fancy water bottles. “Pfft!” I’d say. “Who would pay more than $5 for a vessel to carry water that sprays from my faucet for practically free?” And then I realized that a.) BPA is very, very toxic and often found in cheapy bottles, and b.) single-use water bottles are basically the worst thing for the planet. Now, I’m really into eco-friendly water bottles that are reusable and recyclable. Here are some of my favorites are not only great for the earth, they’re slim enough to fit in your bike’s water bottle holder for your ride to work.
Whether you want something with an ultra-convenient sippy top, or something with a tightly-sealing lid that’s perfect for stowing and going, these lean, green canteens are perfect for tooling around on a hot summer day. Pop one in your bag, on the bar of your bike, or even into the cup-holder of your car to make sure you get your eight a day…without filling up landfills and choking out wildlife with wasteful materials.
Sure, at around $25, some of these may seem like an investment, but what’s a few bucks between friends? And by friends, I mean you and the planet earth, which would really appreciate it if you’d take the plunge and go eco-friendly with your water vessel.
