Why is it that 50-year-old Demi Moore partying is considered “bizarre behavior?” Is she not allowed a night out to have fun at a local night club? Apparently a woman of her age is not, because the New York Post is all over her about this.
The article in today’s NY Daily News features a headline that claiming “Demi Moore exhibits bizarre behavior as she parties alongside Lenny Kravitz at Chanel beach party.” Another subhead says “Demi gets weird and she doesn’t care.”
The article then goes on to say:
The 50-year-old Hollywood stunner let loose at Chanel’s beach party in Miami Wednesday night, knocking back Red Bulls and grinding on the dance floor as cameras flashed.
Partying with pals Lenny Kravitz and Stacy Keibler, Moore appeared somewhat unhinged — at one point pulling her hair over her entire face as she posed for a photograph.
In another shot, the mother of three swivels in her seat, legs splayed as she grooves to the music next to a slightly amused Kravitz.
So why exactly is this “weird” and “bizarre?” Especially when 47-year-old Lenny Kravitz is sitting right next to her, and no one mentions the fact that a guy around the same age who is also partying is acting inappropriately.
Maybe the Daily News should realize that it’s perfectly OK for a woman–of any age–to go out at night, have some drinks, grind on the dance floor and even show off her body. What do they expect her to do–stay home and knit every night now that she’s in her 50s?
She’s just having some fun, people!
Seems like another case of sexist judgment where mature women can’t let loose and have fun without someone judging them for it.
What do you think?
