Jessica Simpson Finally Reveals Post-Baby Body In New Weight Watchers Commercial

Screen Shot 2012-12-19 at 10.27.00 AMEarlier this fall, Jessica Simpson caught a lot of heat for appearing in a Weight Watchers ad and not showing her post-pregnancy body (that supposedly came along with her role as spokesperson for the weight loss brand). But now, everyone who has been dying to see what Weight Watchers actually did for the star, can take a look in the new ad that debuts on Christmas day (we have a sneak peek here).

Of course, Simpson is reportedly pregnant again now, but this commercial was shot a couple of months ago–and no one has seen it up until now.

Called the “Expect Amazing” campaign, the 32-year-old Simpson appears on camera looking healthy and talking about how she lost over 50 pounds:

I didn’t need to be perfect to get here–to lose over 50 pounds on Weight Watchers. It lets me be me, and I’m only human. I love food, I love life, I had no idea I could be so in control and so free at the same time.

She goes on to say that Weight Watchers is built for human nature–and it works.

We think she looks amazing. And more importantly, we love her attitude and the message of this commercial–losing weight doesn’t have to be perfect, and you don’t have to be perfect. It also doesn’t need to be a miserable process. The most important thing is to like who you are and feel good by your own standards–not by trying to fit into a certain pant size like other weight loss commercials have touted in the past. We feel like Weight Watchers got it right this time.

Take a look and tell us what you think:

Can we declare a moratorium on the term “post-baby body”???? It was invented by the tabloid press, and using it makes you complicit. Women have only one body. Whose business is it when it starts to look like it did prior to being pregnant? Who gives a toss?
