Healthy Homemade Treats: 8 Fruit-and-Yogurt Popsicle Recipes

berry-yogurt-popsicles

Earlier this week, we brought you some oh-so-fun but not-so-healthy popsicle ideas. Today we’re shifting gears and sharing some more nutritious pops.

Think that’s an oxymoron? If so, you’ve been hanging around the ice cream truck too long. Not all popsicles need to contain gobs of sugar, artificial flavors and color additives!

Try making your own healthier frozen treats with ingredients such as avocado, coconut oil & cacao powder … or fresh fruit and yogurt. On that last front, we’ve got you covered with eight yogurt and fruit popsicle recipes.

Some call for extra sweetening, with honey, agave nectar or plain old sugar. Pro tip? Skip—or at least skimp on—the sweeteners wherever fruit’s involved. They’ll be sweet enough without it, and so much better for you.

I hate to admit this, but when I saw the thumbnail for this, I thought it was a gross picture for a tampon article. That said, all of these recipes sound delicious. Can’t wait to try them!
