Jennifer Aniston’s Diet For Stripper Role In We’re The Millers

If any sentence can sum up what Jennifer Aniston ate while preparing for her upcoming role as a stripper in We’re The Millers, it is this: ”When I really wanted to have a cheat day I had to have a kale chip.” Good god.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Aniston revealed her diet for the film, which includes a scene where she’s in lingerie at a warehouse with sparks flying all around her because of course it does.

“I did eat that day,” she says of the underwear scene. “I was on a very like, you know, greens and vegetables and lean proteins and kale.”

Uh, I wish it went without saying that she ate that day, but okay. As stated earlier, her “cheat days” included kale chips.

Kale chips. Are considered “cheat food.”

Kale chips: the cupcakes of celebrity diets.

For his role as a stripper in Magic MikeChanning Tatum took on a vegan diet and wound up actually gaining weight. It kind of bums me out that the definition of “looking your best” as a woman is “looking your absolute thinnest,” but I suppose that is Hollywood.

This is not okay for me.

Dude, she’s saying that when she really wanted to have a cheat day, she COULDN’T, so she was forced to settle for kale chips instead. She’s not saying that kale chips were the “cheat” (thankfully). I think you misinterpreted the remark.

I agree. Aniston seems like one of the few Hollywood actresses who eats well and has a regular fitness program. I’m she had to restrict her diet because of the pounds that the camera adds. I’m not saying that’s OK either but it’s what sells.

I think celebrities should just shut up about their diets. It’s misleading. It sends the message that you’ll look great if you restrict calories. The reality is, restricting calories on its own is going to make you skinny-fat. When people don’t eat, it shows in their face the most, and the next place you lose fat from is your chest. You can tell the difference between someone who lost 10 pounds from not eating for a week straight and someone has lost 10 pounds over the course of a couple months by eating healthy, getting their nutrients and working out.

Actually, that’s restricting calories and not getting enough protein to preserve lean body mass. But I also call BS on a lot of hollywood diets. I don’t care how many egg whites the Rock eats, he’s on the juice. And its NOT that hard to look like Jennifer Anniston. And you most certainly don’t have to eat kale chips to do it.

“I did eat that day” — is she, like, joking? I mean, for real, I think she’s joking (maybe…) but I still don’t like it, because it implies it’s normal to NOT eat sometimes.

  • Hannah

I mean, she looks amazing, and she’s pretty buff as hollywood ladies go. I mean, she’s not as ripped as Channing, but still.

Maybe it should go unsaid that she ate that day, but I feel like I’ve read a lot of interviews with actresses who said they didn’t eat anything – except maybe a liquid diet – the day of an underwear scene, so I can’t fault Aniston for wanting to point that out.

  • Sarah

This is the worse content I’ve read in a while. The writer is just miserable…and you just have to figure out why because she doesn’t even…why do I even bother. And yes, JA was joking, duh!

I’m starting to seriously doubt these kinds of stories. If you are naturally tall and thin (and I believe these are the kind of people who get into mainstream acting in the first place), have a personal trainer, eat expensive, healthy, carefully prepared food, you can have a fairly normal, diet-free lifestyle and look fabulous, right? It can’t be that much work.

chances are if she had an actual cheat food on her cheat day, she wouldn’t have looked any different. she honestly has looked the same for years. i think they just tell people about these diets to make it seem that they worked so much harder than they really did. if she did go on that cagy diet..it isn’t actually a diet for her, its her lifestyle.
