You know how people are like “Oh this delicious meal is giving me a boner” or “This food item is better than sex” and it’s kind of annoying because comparing food and sex is like comparing apples and oranges or uhh (apologies in advance) apple pie and orgasms. But food and sex are not separate pleasures for everyone–this woman, featured by my favorite high-brow publication, The Daily Mail, actually is aroused by food. Like for real, not in an exaggerating way. Sammee Matthews is a diagnosed sitophile. A sitophiliiac is someone with an erotic obsession with food, for Matthews, she’s specifically sweet on sweets.
She may be weird and different, but she seems pretty freaking cool too. Matthews runs a strip club night for bigger women called “Thick Sundaes” which is not only a body positive thing to do, but literally the best name for a strip club night of all time.
I’m not going to be a Judgmental Judy because it’s none of my business what this lady eats or what makes her tick, but I do find other people’s sex lives very interesting, especially when they’re outside of the norm. Although, being fascinated at all makes me feel like kind of a jerk. Who am I to marvel at other people’s weirdness?
Instead of critisizing Matthews for her erotic fixation or talking about her health problems, relationship or weight, let’s just go over some illuminating quotations from Matthews:
I love cupcakes and cookies. It’s the smell, flavour and texture that makes me feel aroused. When I can smell and see them I start to lose concentration, I stutter.
I haven’t felt that way about any dude since middle school, so it’s cool that she swoons at the sight of pastries.
I don’t just look into a bakery and see a cute little cupcake – quite a few perverse things come to mind.
I wish she was more specific about those perverse things.
When I walk in to a bakery, the smell drives me wild and I have to call my boyfriend for sex.
I mean, she specifies what she’s calling her boyfriend for.
It’s a huge turn on for me to be eating delicious cakes or doughnuts while making love. It gives me the most amazing orgasms.
Eating during orgasm seems like a choking hazard.
I’m going to go look at more sex stuff on the internet now.
