15 Stimulating Facts About Vibrators That Will Hit Your G-Spot

vibrator factsThis post is brought to you by the letter V: V is for Valentine, V is for vagina, and V for the vibrator you use on your vagina.

Compared to other electronics you use on the regular like your mobile phone or blow dryer, the sensitive nature of the vibrator makes its history fraught with titillating little facts and details. The vibrator as we know it evolved from a device born of misogynistic medicine, but luckily developed into a tool that gives women more and more sexual agency over their bodies. Whether or not you use a vibrator yourself, you’ve got to admit they’re pretty cool.

Okay, enough already with the foreplay. Let’s get right to it. Here are 15 stimulating facts about vibrators:

  12. The best selling vibrator on Amazon.com is called Butterfly Kiss from California Exotics; it comes in three colors, is waterproof and even has a cute little fluttering butterfly. Right now it costs $7.91.
  13. The famous magic wand comes in 7th place on Amazon’s list of best selling vibrators, despite its cult following. It is the best seller at Good Vibrations, a sex shop in San Francisco.
  14. Sex toys are good for you: they reduce cramps, rejuvenate circulation and lubrication of the tissues of the vagina and clitoris, can lower stress ease stress conditions like high blood pressure and headaches.
  15. In Alabama, you need a doctor’s note to purchase a vibrator, due to the Anti-Obscenity Enforcement Act which prohibits the sale of “any device designed or marketed as useful for the stimulation of human genital organs.”
