Oh man, if you partied at Coachella over the weekend, I hope you don’t feel too beat right now. Ehh, you probably do. I’m sure you have no regrets and feel allÂ yoloÂ or whatever the kids are saying these days, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t a hungover mess. All that fun in the California desert sunshine can really do a number on the old human bod. Luckily there are ways to feel like your everyday self again.
Here are a few things you can do to help yourself recover from a weekend of festival debauchery:
Drink Water. This one is a big “duh.” You need to hydrate. Indio is hot as all get out and you were probably drunk or on all sorts of dehydrating club drugs. You need to replenish your system. Go drink a tall glass of water. Now, please.
Shower. Not only do you have to scrub the sin and body paint off of yourself, but you need to think about what you’ve done. The shower is the best place to get some self reflection time in.
Take a Bath. Once you’ve scrubbed yourself of filth, help your sore muscles by soaking them in a hot bath full of epsom salts.
Eat Normal Food. After a few days of eating nothing but drugs, soft pretzels and popsicles, your body could use some vitamins. Eat a vegetable.
Stretch. You sat in a car for hours, were huddled among crowds of human bodies for ages, you slept in a van, and you danced, danced, danced the weekend away. Stretch out your aching muscles, they deserve a treat.
Sleep In A Bed Like A Person. No matter how young you are, a few days of hardly sleeping on the ground at a raucous camping ground is going to take a toll. Tuck yourself in to a clean bed and catch up on ZZZs.
