10 Best Back to School Picture Books
My son absolutely loves school and I have NO problem getting him on the bus everyday. In fact, he wants to drive the bus to school and gets in trouble for trying to get out of his seat.
We did, however, had trouble getting him to go to Early Childhood because we had just moved to a new home and he was very scared we were going to leave him. We gathered the best preschool and Kindergarten books for him to read to help him adjust and he started to see that going to school also meant coming home.
For those kids a little anxious about heading off to school in a few weeks, or days, how about picking up some good reads for them? Read with them, of course, to help take the edge off that anxiety. Who says a good book can’t help?
1. But what if that anxiety rears its ugly head when your child has to leave you for the first time? Read I Love You All Day Long to them and see if that helps.
2. Lola will entertain everyone in I Am Too Absolutely Small for School (Charlie and Lola)with all of her reasons why she should not start school. But, her brother convinces her she should go.

6. The Berenstain Bears are a classic so there has to be a school book. Try The Berenstain Bears Go Back to School (Berenstain Bears) and see if your little one likes Brother and Sister Bear.
7. One of the first of it’s kind, Victoria’s Day sheds light on a subject that must be broached. Not only does the author highlight Victoria’s first day of school but she also highlights that although she is different she is not so different than us after all. A MUST read for all children.
