Feet Are Not for KickingYou’ve been there: It’s time to brush your preschooler’s teeth, but she won’t open her mouth. You want to trim your child’s nails, but he squirms away. You’ll be late if you don’t leave the park, but she won’t get off the swing. Three- and 4-year-olds are natural protesters, particularly when their parents really, really want them to do something. They are increasingly determined to assert their independence, and saying no gives them a heady thrill. What’s the best way to get your child to cooperate–without resorting to yelling or threats?

Oh I especially like the one where you start telling them stories about when you were a kid. It’s called… boring them to death lol… yeah, that should work. The kids will do just about anything to shut you up!

But you have nine others to choose from if you run out of stories!!
