10 Text Terms Your Teen May Use

Did you know that your teen knows a language you may not? It’s called text messaging and believe it or not they have all types of acronyms for them these days, but you have everything to fear now with these terms. It isn’t your innocent TTYL or BFF, now it deals with the dreaded topic of ….SEX. That’s right, sex texting or sexting is becoming something all parents need to know more about.

A few terms you will want to know is:
8 = this simple number actually means oral sex
420 = marijuana
banana = penis
CD9 = Parents are around (yep warning about us being nearby)
MOS = Mom over shoulder
IWSN = I want sex now
TDTM = talk dirty to me
LMIRL = Let’s meet in real life
IF/IB = In the front or in the Back
GNOC = get naked on the Cam
There are more phrases you’ll probably want to learn, Fox Atlanta has an entire list of 50 text phrases you should know.















As we discovered their language, they developed more and more `shortcut` terms like 9 – `Parent is watching`; 99 – `Parent is no longer watching`; P911 – `Parent Alert`; PAW – `parents are watching`; PIR – `People in room`; SOS – `someone over shoulder` and many others.
