1621, A New Look at Thanksgiving

The history of Thanksgiving as we know it may not be quite what it was. Was it really that the Europeans too control over the Native people’s land and forced their ways on them? Catherine O’Neill Grace paints a very poignant and controversial picture in 1621: A New Look at Thanksgiving (I Am American).

It is worth a read for any middle schooler.
