2 sources for dealing with pain at end of life

The overwhelming impression that many people have of people who are dying from chronic illness is that of pain. However, that doesn’t have to be so. In fact, some people don’t have pain in their final days, while others do have pain but it’s well managed.

That being said, managing end-of-life pain can be difficult so it requires special training from the healthcare providers. Doses of medications are often much more than doctors and nurses would usually give and combinations of medications may seem a little odd to someone unfamiliar with hospice or palliative care.
