2008 Advent Calendar Now Live

The first day of December is here. You can finally see the work Heather Blakey put into her Advent Calendar for 2008. I’m looking forward to loads of journal writing inspiration this month. We’ve been getting into the Christmas spirit here at home, too. Last night and this morning hubby was busy painting and decorating a large piece of board we had stashed here somewhere to create our own Advent Calendar. We used only the things we had about the house, so don’t expect anything special. The little guy thinks it’s wonderful, though. In each of the cups we’ve stashed a little toy or sweet to discover each day. I like it, even if it can’t compare with fancier ideas I’ve seen elsewhere.

I have always thought that the family made Christmas things are nicer, I still hang decorations that I made as a child. The memories mean a lot.

Yes, they do hold more meaning. We’ve put a star the little guy made on top of the Christmas tree this year, too. Thanks for your comment.
