25 Reasons to Have Plenty of Wine in December

2. Upon discovering your officemates/co-workers were exchanging presents. Oops.

3. To block out the mistletoe mishap with your weird neighbor.

4. For the dinner party where you forgot to pick up flowers or some other host gift.

5. After shopping, because you had to sit in your car for an hour in the parking lot that should have been a freeway.

6. When needing a night in… after too many nights out.

7. To get through wrapping another round of presents.

8. With the credit card bill shock after buying all those presents and wrapping paper.

9. From the electricity bill caused by so many strands of lights you lost count.

10. When your significant other wants you to go to his/her work party where you know absolutely no one.

11. Because it sucks to be single during the holiday season.

12. Because when you are with someone it’s a lot more expensive.  

13. To fancy up the make-shift dinner of sandwich and soup from a can.

14. Since The Christmas Story has been on for 24 hours.

15. When the egg nog runs out and you’re too lazy to make more.

16. As a bribe when your friends won’t go home and the bed beckons.

17. To make it through The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at your nephew’s school. Again.

18. For dulling the pain from your ice skating injuries.

19. When you go home for a visit and the parents want to reinstate the curfew.

20. For those late nights at work, brought on by too many parties and treats during the day.

21. To make decorating the tree, again after the cats knocked it down, more fun.

22. When your mom nearly burns down the house with candles and greenery.  True story…(Sorry, Mom, I couldn’t resist)

23. To get motivated/ material when you need to write another blog post but don’t feel like it.

24. For all that good food that deserves good wine. And to console yourself when your clothes no longer fit.

25. To make a toast to friends and family, because that’s what’s best about the season.

  1. i like #19. When Megan and I lived in Georgia and would come to Virginia for the holiday’s my parents – well my mom would totally pull that crap.

    Thanks for the humor – but in reality I don’t need any more reasons to drink wine everyday. haha

    I actually lived at home again temporarily when I was looking for a wine job. It was hard to have to answer to someone again. At my age….
