I love eating in season, in case you can’t tell by most of the recipes I post here. There are several benefits to eating fruits and vegetables when they’re in season in your area.
- You can support your local farmers markets, or better yet grow your own produce.
- In season fruits and vegetables are usually lower cost than off season.
- Your food travels less distance, a tomato in January usually travels several thousand miles to get to your local grocery store.
