Every day, I search the web for information to put in this blog but sometimes I forget about a fabulous resource – the very channel that hosts Help My Hurt and Womb Within.
Here are 5 interesting posts from around the channel. Not all have to do with pain, but they’re worth taking note of, I think. Keep in mind, there are many more channels with interesting information – I just stopped at five for now:
Some of you visiting this blog may be a caregiver to someone who has chronic pain, so this is a post from Alzheimer’s Notes that would be good for you: Guest Post: Three Tips for Avoiding Caretaker Injuries by Christine Lasich, M.D.
I’ve mentioned heart disease in this blog before because it is possible to have painful warning signs ahead of time. This story saddened me because of his age and the potential of a life lost. With the Olympics coming up, I find it even sadder: Gold medalist Gyorgy Kolonics dies of heart failure at 36
This post from Autism Vox caught my attention because I know I “look people in the mouth” rather than in the eye. I find I don’t hear them as clearly if I’m not watching their lips. I do try to make eye contact. In fact, I’ve often been accused of being a snob because I don’t and because I don’t initiate conversations. It’s not that – I’m very shy in real person. Anyway, here’s the post: Mouth or Eyes: How do you look at someone’s face?
Over at Cancer Commentary, there was another Olympian story: Olympian Eric Shanteau: Competing First Before Cancer Treatment
And finally, over at Healthbolt (where else??) is this interesting post on how to find out about the latest illnesses and where they are: Healthmap Tracks Diseases.
Enjoy!
