5 pain-related websites/groups for you

There is a lot of information on the Internet that is dedicated to helping people who are living with chronic pain or helping those who love people who have chronic pain. Here are 5 (of many) that I thought were particularly worth noting. I’ll be posting more soon:
- After Shingles is a resource for both people who have shingles and those who are caregivers. The site gives information about shingles, post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN), an FAQ, references and links.
- The Neuropathic Pain Network provides a lot of information on chronic pain caused by injury or disease of the nervous system. This pain often results in a burning, tingling and shock-like sensation.
- The Self-help Group Clearinghouse is a site that brings together self-help groups of all type. Their welcoming paragraph states: “This guide has been developed to act as your starting point for finding every type of national, international, model and online self-help support group that is available. The self-help groups, contained in the database that you can access by keyword in the box at the bottom, can help you find and/or start a support group in your community. Local self-help group clearinghouses can also often help you find or form a group.”
- The MayDay Pain Project is a site that provides “easily accessible, useful and professionally authoritative information about pain care issues.”
- The Association for Repetitive Motion Syndromes (ARMS) is an organization that assists workers at-risk or injured by repetitive motion syndromes.
Do you have any sites to add?
