5 Small Meals A Day Has Helped Lower My Blood Sugars

momwasright.jpgAs many of you have noticed, I try to keep up on the latest in diet advice among diabetics and clinicians and make an effort to do my fair share when it comes to my own eating. And as many of you have read, my sugars have been quite wonky over the last few months. Um huh, less than stellar!

So, I have kicked it into high gear lately and tried many different things to help get a grip on my blood sugars. My conclusion… 5 small meals a day works best for me!!

I hate to say it but Mom was right. Yeah Barb, you can laugh as you are reading away, you have been saying this for 2 years now and I have refused to give it a try, but it has done me good! I have also introduced some whole grains back into my diet. Not bunches of them, but here and there.

My result has been great. My sugars have not been above 200 in a few weeks, and for the most part, they are in the low 100’s. Mom was right!

Have any of y’all out there had more success eating this way? Has it made a difference for you? Any tips for me? Keep em’ coming, Mom!

Kendra not only gets her good looks but her brains from Mom! It’s about time that you make time for yourself to make yourself 5 small meals a day. Mommies need to make more me time even if it is time to make a snack or special meal because of diabetes.

    Have been experimenting with eating
    smaller meals at different times.

Donot think I have a sugar problem but
    an energy problem.

How does breakfast foods and drinks
    fit into the picture?
