I use the same basket each year for my kiddos. I bought really nice baskets at Micheal's for their 1st Easter, and have reused them each year. They set them out the night before for the Easter bunny to fill.

If we get baskets from relatives or friends, we donate them to our Girl Scout troop who fills them up each year for the local Salvation Army.

Great ideas! I remember those days when my kids were little and those baskets-could have used your ideas back then! I really like the hair item idea!

I have been on a journey of de-cluttering my life lately and found a use for one of my old Easter baskets: I took my small toiletry items that I had collected from my travels in hotels around the world and put them in an Easter basket, adding a sign that says "Help Yourself." Then I put it in the women's bathroom in a busy location where I work.

So far, people have been grabbing the items like it's no tomorrow--while I keep refilling it. Now I'm down to no more toiletries yet no one has yet taken the basket! Maybe I'll just leave it there--maybe someone will take it or fill it up with something surely someone will want.
Warmly,
Barbara

We don't use traditional baskets. We've used everything from beach bags to new library bags to cute storage bins. The kids have never found the unique baskets unusual or different and they love being able to remember Easter year round!
