One of my favorite things to do on this blog, is to ask you to think about what you must have to make you happy. On this go round, I am wanting you to think about the “stuff” that having, helps give you moments of happiness. Not the family, or the boyfriend, or your puppy. All of that is a given. I am looking for the weird little stuff. The stuff of right now.
Here are 7 things that gave me extreme joy today:
1. Neilsons Lactose Free 1% Chocolate Milk (I am so glad that I found this yesterday)
2. My new laptop – I am very quickly becoming a mac girl
3. A reading lamp that wears a boa of marabou feathers (via Lisa)
4. A pair of pink, orange, and green striped furry socks that my mum bought be when she was in Paris
5. I found $12 hidden in my wallet, which means I can go to the movies this weekend, and not have to hit an ATM
6. The album River: The Joni Letters – by Herbie Hancock
7. Mr. Bubble bubble bath, which is going to be used just as soon as I finish this post.
Now tell me, 7 things that made your day a little enjoyable. Even if you had the most horrible day, you can come up with one thing, that gave you a moment of “ahhhh”. Let me know – I love what you guys always come up with. If it was at all tangible, I would list your comments as one of my “things of happiness”.
Ready….Set….GO COMMENT!

-my sewing machine
-my mom’s serger, that’s sitting right next to it
-the only reliable computer in the house, and it’s mine: right next to said sewing machine and serger
-my digital camera, with which I become part of my internet communities
-my library card, and the some dozen and a half books it’s caused to be on my shelf right now
-the honest-to-goodness “real” wool I get to use to make my FIL’s sweater; almost all of my stuff is made from recycling second hand sweaters, it’s so nice to wind clean, smooth wool right from the skein
-a clean, well stocked kitchen (thank you DH!!)
Jenna,,
good list! makes me look like I am a complete dolt (which I have no problem admitting).
~customising my jumper to look like the one I saw in Harvey Nics for £600!!! (mine not only looks better but I will laugh heartily at people with lots of money but much less sense than me everytime I wear it.
~Finally having a mobile phone that I’ve owned for over a year that I still LOVE- it stores my music, it takes great pics, its been across the world with me, dropped on concrete and in puddles and survived- if it ever dies I’m buying the same one all over again!
~finding a boyfriend who thinks your beautiful, even in your novelty PJ’s
~The internet- keeps you part of the world on those days where you feel cut-off
~a huge big cup of tea and a whole packet of dipping biscuits mmmmm
~planning your summer holiday ridiculously far in advance
~my nephew who is 5 months old and smiles at me and looks facinated even when I’m talking complete garbage
monkeybaby,
great list!
I think its time for another list post, I need to concentrate on some good stuff – take my mind off the health thing for awhile.
