80’s Lifestyles Round-up

Gayla posted a round-up of the Lifestyle Channel’s blogs 80’s inspired posts. I’m here to share a few selections of the ones that struck home most with me.

Oohhh…I’m coveting Peggy’s Mork and Mindy belt. I so wanted one of those! Mork and Mindy was such a classic, and where I first experienced the hilarity that is Robin Williams. Pam Dauber was so sweet, and her role as Mindy was what led me to watching My Sister Sam. Hmmm…a girl named Samantha, a professional photographer, and a lead who reminds me a ton of an aunt of mine. Maybe her role as Mindy wasn’t the only reason I was drawn to the show….

Reading through Karen’s lists brings back lots of memories…though I’m guessing from her “hahahahas” that maybe I was supposed to have stopped tight-rolling my jeans by now? ;)

Really enjoyed Linette’s 80’s Flower Child post. I hope my kids have as many joyful memories about our gardening days as she does. :)

Oh..my…gosh…check out hot Gayla from the 80’s!!! I was not hot in the 80’s…or any other decade….but I did have really big hair and lost of black and white clothes with lots of geometric shapes…and bandanna head bands….and neon…

Marye made me laugh. “Marc threw up halfway through the first meal I cooked him.” Doesn’t necessarily bring back any 80’s memories, but does remind me of some of the meals I tried to make early on. :P

To see the complete list, head on over here and get your 80’s on….
