This church in San Francisco is a classic example of Russian Orthodox architecture. The inside is very ornate, with virtually every interior wall covered with paintings and decorations.
Unlike most American churches, there are no pews and limited removable seating. This church is lit mostly with hundreds of votive candles, with each candle representing a worshiper’s prayer.
