A Colorful World for Kids

Growing up, I remember my mum used to buy me coloring books. She would bring me home a couple whenever she can. She knew too well that that I loved to color, and she used to tell me that the one thing that can easily pacify me on a very humid summer day was to be handed out a coloring book and my trusty Crayola set. Mum cheerfully recalls that I was a happy kid.
Now that I am a mother myself, I am thankful that my daughter took on this lobve for coloring books. It was actually one of the primary activities she learned as a toddler. It kept her busy while I do my thing at home. When she got a little older, she has graduated to those teeny booper spin-offs of coloring “booklets”. And I noticed that this artistic inclination has helped her a great deal in recognizing proper color combinations and right palettes.

A wonderful site called Coloring Pages For Kids will provide all possible subjects that your child can ever hope to color. It easily prints out to a 8.5×11 size, and they even have a tutorial on how to bind these printables into your child’s own coloring book, among others.
I still love to color even at my age. It keeps me pre-occupied while waiting to board airplanes, or simply to while away the time. It is a therapeutic way to de-stress the mind.
