A Console Made for Flat Screen TVs

If you dislike the idea of drilling holes in  your wall to mount a flat-panel TV, then Crate & Barrel has a solution for you. The Loop Media Collection has a plasma panel for wall-free installation with slots in the side for storing up to 48 DVDs. Multi-purpose furniture items are always nice.

I haven’t purchased a flat-panel TV. My old set still works fine, but it’s nice to know that furniture designers are adapting to newer technology. I can’t imagine what might come next in TV models, but if floating TVs are ever invented, something like this would become obsolete! At least I can use my current media cabinet with doors as a wardrobe if I wanted.

I still like this piece though. I reminds me of a dresser, except the TV screen is where the mirror would be. What do you think?
