A day off

I took the day off work today.

It’s been a long week, and the kids are still on Spring Break, so I thought one day with them would be nice.

You can only imagine how it’s gone. The day has been spent mostly cleaning and doing laundry with a side of carting a teenager and her friends all over town.

While my visions of the entire family frolicking and picnic-ing in the park didn’t come true, there’s a lot to be said for a normal day and being around to do those mundane things instead of rushing off to work.
