A First For Times Square

When you think of Times Square, what exactly pops into your head? Most of you would probably say the lights, the billboards, and the fun that Times Square and the rest of New York simply exudes. However, in this city that never sleeps and in this city where everything seemingly can be done, there is a first and it can be found in Times Square. It is the very first green billboard.What makes this billboard green is the fact that it has been developed so much so that it does not depend on the grid. All its power is going to come from the wind and the sun. However, people behind the billboard are saying that if both the wind and the sun do not deliver, this billboard just goes out flat.

But according to Ron Ptesky, one of the senior VPs of the company that is behind this billboard, “We think if that happens, it’s just fine.”

I think it’s fine too.
